Caution: You should understand the risk of BRICKING your phone, read the instructions carefully if you are not 100% sure of what you are doing, and please always backup your important data before flashing.
Please also note: These instructions will work properly if you are already using OxygenOS and re-flashing it using this package. However, if you are coming from any other custom ROM, we recommend you to contact our Customer Support to help you in getting OxygenOS.
At last: If anything unexpected happens during flashing, please contact our customer support before your next move, we are always here to serve.
Download the software build for your device at the bottom of this page.
Plug your phone into your computer and copy the downloaded .zip to your phone’s storage. If you’re using a Mac, you can install Android File Transfer for this operation.
After the .zip file is copied to your phone, reboot your phone into recovery mode. To do this, shut down your device and turn it back on while holding the power and volume down buttons simultaneously.
Wait a while, your phone should now update to the selected build and reboot automatically to take you into OxygenOS.
Do I need to root my device to flash OxygenOS?
No, you don’t need to root your device to flash Oxygen OS
Will I get OTAs after I flash OxygenOS for future updates?
Yes For all devices after oneplus one
Do I need to wipe my data to flash OxygenOS?
Please follow the flashing instructions carefully. In some cases we support upgrading without a data wipe.
However, if you are coming from a system other than OxygenOS, then most likely you would need to do a factory reset. If you are not sure, please contact our customer support.
Do you support rooted users?
We do not officially support rooted users, there isn’t a good way for us to guarantee the stability of the system when the device is rooted.
However, we do have many rooted users and the OnePlus forum is probably the best place to get answers if you have a question about rooting.
Can we use another recovery system other than the Oxygen recovery?
TWRP is a popular recovery and we have provided flashing instructions
